Project Description

In 2017 and 2021 we undertook a comprehensive community engagement project for Bayside City Council to help with the review of their Domestic Animal Management Plan. Click here for more information about the 2017 research.

It was important that this project stand up to public scrutiny and provide all stakeholders with the opportunity to have their say.

Our methodology aimed to provide Council with representative views of the whole community (rather than just those with an interest in the topic) through stratified representative sampling of all households, coupled with an open access survey so everyone had a chance to participate. In 2021 we also undertook in-depth telephone interviews with key stakeholders.
