Project Description

In late 2014 ASDF Research conducted a cycling survey for Colleen Hartland, MP for the Western Region of Melbourne.

ASDF research helped design the survey and programmed it for online using Limesurvey software. The survey included mapping functionality so respondents could pin-point trouble spots on a map and then provide details about each of these.

The survey was promoted through posters in bike stores across the western suburbs (with a QR code), bicycle user groups (BUGs), and the bikewest mailing list.

Findings were presented within a Google map, with each point showing the issue specified. A summary was also produced to assist with prioritising advocacy for infrastructure improvements in the Western suburbs. Further analysis is currently being conducted and results will be publicly released in early 2015.
